It’s hard to believe…

in MY GIRLS,RANDOM

That I couldn’t see, you were always there beside me. I’m so sweet. I wrote that myself. Okay no I didn’t. I admit that I have a High School Musical song stuck in my head. That movie…. oh that movie… It’s been watched in my house many many times over the last few months.

• So far, the unpaper towels are awesome. Even Daniel prefers them to paper towels. We shall see if this continues.

• We had pancakes for dinner tonight. Don’t tell my mom, she will not be pleased ;) . But… we had berries on them… and eggs…. so that makes it okay. Well the eggs weren’t actually ON the pancakes. Don’t judge me. My sick baby was asleep on me and Daniel made us all our meal. What a guy! Did I also mention he made me 2 white mochas today? I drank water too, don’t judge.

• K is playing Barbies and this is what I overheard: “So I heard you killed my wife, and killed my sister AND yours.” Yikes…. morbid…. I can’t say my barbies led ‘normal‘ lives either though, but… no more needs to be said about that.

• My sister makes some super cute headbands and sells them on her etsy. Seriously I got 2 for my birthday, they are my new favorite hair accessory. The best part? You can wear the headband and the flower together, or just the headband, or just the flower, or you can wear the headband and your kid the flower…. unless your kid is a boy, then I would find that to be quite weird,… I’m a judger. Lots of options though :) . Awesomeness.

• It’s almost Summertime, I’m super excited. I love no school and having my girls at home. They are so fun to be around, it’s true. I just love the extra time with them.

• Lately I’m into trying teach my girls how to express themselves in a card. I find cards much more meaningful when something is actually written inside. So for Daniel’s birthday I wrote out a somewhat generic note…

side note: kudos to Morgan for helping me think of the word ‘generic’… yes I do often lose my words…I also say phrases wrong, but we won’t get into that.

…and directed the girls to fill in the blanks. I loved what they said and they ended up being cards I think we’ll want to keep forever.

And for you curious folks, here’s what they said:

(What I wrote is in black, their answers in pink.)

Dear Daddy,

Even though you are turning 33 today, you don’t seem a day older than old enough. If I could give you anything in the world for your birthday I would give you candy. My favorite thing about you is that you love me. You are so strong, I bet you could lift 5 pounds, but most importantly you can lift me. I love how you love to watch movies and how you love to wrestle. When you do funny stuff, it makes me laugh. Thank you for taking me to school.

Sincerely,

K

Dear Daddy,

Even though you are turning 41 today, you don’t seem a day older than 31. If I could give you anything in the world for your birthday I would give you a blue ipad. My favorite thing about you is that you hug me and kiss me and wrestle with me and play Toy Story with me. You are so strong, I bet you could lift 10 pounds, but most importantly you can lift me. I love how you love to cuddle me and how you love to cuddle K. When you dance, it makes me laugh. Thank you for snuggling me.

Sincerely,

H

• So with school ending , I made a thank you card I thought I would offer for any of you who want to download and print it. I’m not actually sure how to make something downloadable as of yet but I promise if you email me at sellylou@gmail.com I will send you the image. It’s made to print on 8.5 x 11 paper. I am also selling it on my etsy site but for you readers, the closing of the 2011 school year, it is free.

K gotta go…. my mom’s comin’. (Name that movie, Morgan excluded ;) ).

Love the cards sooo much!  That’s a super sweet idea! And you’re welcome for pulling out generic, lol!  By the way, I keep imagining your Viva paper towels watching you like the mop in that Swiffer commercial…lol. I’m sure they feel neglected ;)
